        From November 1st to 4th, CNCA held an international seminar on Good Laboratory Practice (hereinafter referred to as "GLP") and GLP inspector training class in Beijing, aiming to further promote and strengthen my country's Good laboratory standard monitoring system construction, strengthen laboratory GLP capabilities.

At the seminar, Ms. Dian Turnheim, Director of the Environment, Health and Safety Department of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), came to China to introduce the development of international GLP, and shared the balance of non-OECD countries joining OECD/GLP.

MAD’s experience, and discuss with relevant Chinese authorities and experts how China can be more deeply involved in the work of the OECD Environment, Health and Safety Agency.

It is understood that the OECD/GLP is a set of laboratory governance rules and regulations prepared by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. The purpose is to ensure the high quality of safe chemical products, reliable testing data and mutual recognition of safety, while avoiding repeated testing to governments. And unnecessary extravagance brought by enterprises. GLP first originated from drug research, and then the concept gradually expanded to laboratory safety evaluation of other toxic and hazardous substances, laboratory evaluation of various health-related products, and even management of major departments in clinical laboratories. All laboratory research work related to human health has now been covered. Data obtained from chemical testing in accordance with OECD/GLP principles can be accepted by members of mutual recognition agreements and used as a basis for evaluation to protect human health and environmental safety.
